Human Events Daily with Jack Posobiec have created a four part documentary about the story of Christians from their rise as a small group of persecuted believers, to the foundational system that created the entire Western Civilization and our modern world. Each episode deals with a different aspect of the tale of Christianity, bringing to light many stories that most modern people simply do not know about.
Virtually everyone today was robbed of their Christian patrimony that they are the rightful owners of. It was stolen from you intentionally because a people who do not know their history is a people that can be conquered easily. It does not matter if you are Catholic, Orthodox, Protestant, Jew, Muslim or unbeliever, you need to watch them. You need to know the history of the civilization that you live in.
In this season of Christmas, which runs until February 2nd & Candlemas (bet you didn’t know that), now is the perfect time to start watching these episodes. This post will discuss Part IV: Notre Dame.

The Chronicles of the Christians - Part IV: Notre Dame
As mentioned in the review of Part I: The Rise of Christianity, Part II: The Truth About the Crusades and Part III: The Shroud of Turin, so much of what we have been taught was simply false, or such a gross oversimplification and twisting of history, that we are basically unlearned in our actual history. Notre Dame Cathedral is a foundational stone to Christianity in Europe. It’s value cannot be measured and that is also the reason why it was attacked.
The cathedral took about a century to construct and was mostly completed by 1260AD. It is a glorious cathedral and has been the heart of Christianity in Paris and France for almost eight centuries. It speaks to the majesty of God and turns the mind of man up towards Heaven and the things of God.
Jack and his brother Kevin go through some of the fascinating history of Notre Dame, plus the amazing planning, construction and techniques needed to build this glorious house of Our Lord. Kevin makes a great point that the men who first began planning and working on this cathedral knew they would never see it completed. They sacrificed without any reward so that future generations could enjoy this masterpiece. Our culture today cannot grasp the faith that those people possessed. We cannot wait fifteen minutes for anything, let alone building something we would never see completed nor enjoy. Lives and fortunes were offered so that this beautiful cathedral can be enjoyed by us today, almost twelve centuries later. We should appreciate and honor that dedication and commitment from our ancestors.
France itself was once called the “Eldest Daughter of the Church”. The reason for this is that France so thoroughly embraced the Catholic faith that it was the crown of Catholicism for many centuries. It’s hard to believe today, but France was incredibly devout to God prior to the evils of the Protestant Revolution, the “Enlightenment” and the horrors of the French Revolution. France was replete with saints and beautiful churches all over the country. The Papacy was even housed in France (in Avignon) for a long while because of turmoil in Rome. France could have been called the beating heart of Christianity, and Notre Dame cathedral was the symbolic heart for France.
The construction of Notre Dame was intentionally designed to allow as many windows as possible. This not only allowed more light into the cathedral, but also through stained glass windows, the stories of the Bible and Christianity could be told to the masses during a time when literacy was limited. The Christian faithful could spend time learning the Christian faith simply by looking at the stories told through the beauty of art in the Notre Dame.
Notre Dame cathedral was truly one of the crown jewels in all of Christianity. That glory though makes Notre Dame a prime target for the enemies of God and His Church. Jack and Kevin discuss some of the history of the attacks upon Notre Dame by these enemies of God. During the French Revolution, the demonic hordes of atheists ransacked the cathedral and committed heinous acts throughout the church and even upon the altar itself. They worshipped the god of “Reason” and blasphemed the cathedral as one of their many attacks against God.
The enemies of God struck again recently when Muslims successfully burned down the roof of Notre Dame. Jack and Kevin do a good job of refuting the nonsensical claims of the authorities who claimed it was just an accident. They declared the fire was an accident before the fire had even been extinguished. Catholic churches throughout France and Europe were being targeted and burned during this time. These arsonist attacks and destruction were from Muslims who have been declaring their intent to conquer Europe for many years now. The authorities who immediately declared the fire was an accident are also the authorities who have been importing massive numbers of Muslims into Europe. Make no mistake, this was arson and it was an attack on Catholicism and God.
Thankfully the anger this attack upon Notre Dame generated also gave strength to demands for the restoration of the cathedral. On the feast of the Immaculate Conception in December 2024, Notre Dame cathedral was opened up again after five years of restoration. Mass was offered to re-consecrate this magnificent house of Our Lord that is dedicated to His mother.
Hopefully with the restoration of Notre Dame, we today can truly being to appreciate the glorious cathedrals that our ancestors built so that we can celebrate the sacraments and worship God in beautiful churches dedicated to God and His saints.
This concludes Part IV of the Christian Chronicles. If you have not watched it, please do take the time and watch it now. You need to know where you came from to even begin to understand where you are going.
